OK, am trying to buy some older frames. Is there anything I need to know about the older ones? Any restrictions on barrels? I see some of the frames on auctions that appear NOT to have the selective hammer on them. Others say "easy open". What do I need to look for? Many thanks. Rich

The easy open frames are the most recent frames. They should all have the selective hammer from my understanding. I have an older (non-easy opening) frame and it works fine. I understand that T/C will convert the older ones to easy open for free. I have 2 contender frames, one new one and one old one. I think that you should mainly be concerned about the condition. T/C is real good about their warranty and will fix anything that needs fixing - or replace the frame if it is stretched or damaged. I have not had to send anything back to them so far, and have only heard that their service is good. To me, good service is not having to send something back in the first place. |
