I have a Browning A-Bolt (AAA wood) that I haven't been able to sell so thought I would convert it to the 17 HVR. It is in 22 Mag now. What are your thoughts and who would do the work?
Thanks
Brooks

But is there anything wrong with wanting a little accuracy? After all, if you shoot in a for score match and get an 8, would you expect the judges to give you a 10 just because they knew that that was what you "meant" to hit?

Don’t no nutting bout them 8's or 10's but do know what accuracy is from a sporter gun.

Perfectionists seem to be a frustrated lot. Hmmmmm, wus wonderen, ya go thru all the posts finding error and fault?

Well, keep up the 10’s and if you every get to Texas look me up and I’ll show you some great fishing and yote shooten.

I've been drooling over the 17 rimfire ever since the 17 Aguila got proposed. And yeah, my last personality profile did indicate that I am a bit of a perfectionist. Those targets indicate that you probably are as well. hehehe. Sorry for the "correction" but if it doesn't get done occaisionaly the misinformation just gets perpetuated. There are plenty of my posts that could stand a bit of correcting as well, but I do my best ot be accurate in my descriptions. Please return the favor and correct me if you see me doing it. I watched 3 coyotes meandering through a feild last week, for about 20 minutes at around 40-50 yards. But since it was inside city limits, thinning the pack wasn't an option. Which was a shame since I had the 22 Epperson Cricket Romainian Trainer in the front seat of the truck with me. It throws a 35gr V-max at 1850 fps from a 25ACP case necked to 22. At that range it would probably have done the job, but I've never dropped a 'yote.

These were shot the same day while testing loads. The next pic shows how far from my "shooting/reloading" room they were shot. Used a Cooper in 17 HeBee and a Rampro in 17 Ack Hornet on the second one. image
