Is there such a thing as the .19 or .20 Waldog (shortened PPC case)?

Just wondering, as the .22 Waldog seems to be fairly popular with BR folks. I think either would be more efficient than the off the full-size (overbore) PPC case while still putting bullets out at warp speed. Has this been done before? Thanks.

I thought of doing this myself, for a .20 but the case forming scared me off. Also, not sure that the .20 caliber bullets would be as good as the .17 bullets that we currently have available. Comes down to jacket quality, and the .17's that we are getting are good.

Also, the intent of pushing back the shoulder on the case is to limit velocity in the range in which the BR folks will provide top accuracy. Dick Wright pushes his walldog to 3500 fps, but Cook here on our site was only pushing his to about 3200 or 3300 fps. If you wanted to get the PPC case to push the 20's to only 3500 fps, you would be shortening the case a lot and it would require a lot of forming and trimming. Just my .02, it did cross my mind and I thought of doing it for a varmint cartridge pushing the 33 grain V-max or the Berger at 4,000 fps.

Hey guys, haven't Jim Calhoun and Todd Kindler done just what
you're lookin' for already? Jim with his .19/223 and Todd with
his Tactical 20? Both these are 4000+ fps rounds and I can tell
ya from experience that at least the Tac20 is one accurate
little round!
