anyone shootin moly bullets?? do they help or not???i have found i don't have to clean as often.just wandering what your likes and dislikes are!!!! Rod |

I have two 17's and shoot only moly coated bullets, NO copper fouling in either. one is a custom encore in 17m4 the other is a rem 700 classic in 17 rem. |

I shoot them in 2 of my 17, one was shooting moly when I bought it and the other was my first 17. when I run out of Moly bullets that is it, it is not worth the mess and fuss to shot it. If you have a custom barrel you should not have any fouling that requirres moly. If you have a factory barrel try polishing it or if you have to you can shoot moly but if your barrel is bad moly will not help much JD |

I agree with the factory barrel statement. My factory barrel copper fouled with the Moly just like it did without the Moly. It shot fine with the bare bullets so I decided to keep shooting the bare bullets and clean it at regular intervals. I have never used Moly in any of my other barrels and I don't intend to change now. I am not arguing on the benefits of shooting Moly, because I see a lot of good shooters using it. |
