To all, I have loaded up a batch of 30gr Starkes to test at 600yards. Hopefully I will be able to get the range shortly. Will post the results. Corbin

Corbin, have you ever thought about trying the Kindler 29's at long range? The BC is far superior to either the Berger or Starke 30's......... Dan C

Dan,
I had not planned on testing the 29gr bullets. If someone wants to send me a few to test thats fine. I am not rushing out to purchase any.Corbin

Just a friendly suggestion Corbin, no need to act snippy about it! I generally try to use the correct tool for the job, and the Starke 30 is NOT the ideal long range bullet for a 17. Dan C

I'm looking forward to the results. I plan on using these very same bullets in my Javelina when it is complete. The barrel is to arrive this week. Dropped off the gun at the smith yesterday and he is waiting on the barrel. I forgot the reamer so will have to mail that to him. He will start working on the action soon and hopefully, I'll have a .17 Javelina in a few weeks. Now for the brass, dies, etc.
