| 600 yard shoot |  | ||

There is a 600 yard shoot this Sunday in Delaware if anybody is available. I won't be able to make it but would love to see a .17 or .20 go out and kick some butt. Last match was won by a .22-250 ackley shooting v-maxes. See the pics and information on the home page. |

Jim,
From the format it seems like there is not too much shooting to be done. Is this correct or do they shoot all day. Can you give me some directions. A 5" group with a .17 is not impossible given good condition. I am considering going up. It is a very far away match as I am in the center of NC. Still giving it hard consideration. Corbin |

You are right. It is only 2 groups of 5 shots each. An informal match that is being held because the range was open. Turnout at the last one was pretty good with 20+ shooters (I believe) and many shooters entering multiple guns. Just something fun to do in the "off-season". Nothing would make me happier than to see Corbin Shell of .17 Long Range fame to show up and kick some butt, but I realize that the drive would far outweigh the value of the shoot. Probably 8 - 10 hour drive one way from central NC. |

I have given it some consideration and think I will pass on this match. It is just too far 8-10 hours drive to shoot so few shots in a match. Maybe if the shooting was ALL day but not for 10 record shots. Maybe next time when I have more notice. By the way I want to extend the invitation to anyone who wants to come to Butner NC and shoot 600 and 1000 yards. Drop me a line and I can get it set up. Corbin |
