14's are not that expensive. I have made cleaning rods and sold them for $20. But they are not the quality of the rods that are $50. You can get cases from John Delozier, who frequents this forum and save yourself the forming dies.
I purchased some dies from Wilson and made them into 14 Walker Hornet dies, and sold the set for $90. That's neck sizer and an inline seater....wouldn't be hard to make the 221 version. Now, for bullets, you just have to realize that everyghing has to be made or re-sized. I don't think $30/100 is unreasonable at all, you can pay that for several other premium bullets.

Yeah, dies for forming are not cheap, that is why I have them and sell formed brass and as for FL die set, if you do not use an in-line press, RCBS dies from Midsouth I think were 80$ They will be more fun then you can handle but they will take work JD |

Check my web site for the article from Blaine Eddy this evening.. It speaks volumes on pelt hunting with a 14. Blaine also asked me to mention the buyer of the 157 coyotes pictured in the article-- one Terry Montgomery of Montgomery Fur Co. russ |

I have been looking for one of these guys for a long time, still havn't got my shot yet. This guy was at a local gun shop, just got back from the taxidermist. Figured some of you boys would like it. The local taxidermist told me $750 when I showed him this pic, anyone know of a better deal? I would love to get a nice big AK silver mounted , but that is almost enough for my new rifle. see ya ![]() |
