OK, decided to go with Bullberry, stainless, bull barrel for 17 Ackley Bee. Now I need to make the big decision of either 18 or 20 inch length. I want something pretty short, for ease of handling, but don't want it unbalanced. Most feedback I have gotten has said to go with the 20". Pros and cons? And a big thanks to all of you guys who are helping me build up these guns....... I was fortunate to find two sets of ryanite stocks for them, so they at least look like a rifle from the butt end!!! 20" is a good compromise between balance and velocity. That is what my Hebee is and I think that it is about right. I also have a 21" barrel for the contender (bull barrel also) and I don't consider it to be too long or heavy either. I wouldn't go any longer than 21" on the contender, if I wanted longer, I'd get it on the encore. The contender is a nice compact package that I like to keep that way.

My 17 HeBee is a 22". It is perfect as far as what I use it for. Crows, starlings, prairiedogs, and what not. Fred at BB said the 20" is the best compromise for accuracy and FPS, but I like the little extra weight and FPS. Mike

I'm sure most of you have noticed a lack of posts from Jim. Well, he's been laid up for the last week with a back injury. I talked with him tonight and he says that he should be back in action within the next couple of days. He asked me to pass on to y'all that the first batch of T shirts are done and look great. He'll post some pictures as soon as he can. Thanks,
Chris H.
