i wonder if the magazine is long enough to hold the 17 ccm? after all i would rather have a reloadable 17 ccm at 3500 fps ,15 gr burger rather than a 17 gr vmx at 2550.

Shroeder does but Fiocchi does not. Would be nice to have someone come out with virgin brass for the CCM. Any one have any suggestions? The Schroeder brass works ok, you can get 3,100 fps with 18 grain and 3,250 with 15 grain but the original drawn brass (not the "one shot" Fiocchi) was good for another 150 fps. Comparing the new 17 rimfire to the CCM, the difference between 18 grain at 2,600 fps and 3,100 fps is very significant when you consider wind drift and drop.

i have a like new 17 ccm cooper (shilen) barrel its 24" threaded with extractor cuts i was just trying to decide whether to sell it as is or rechamber it to a 17 ah , 17mach 4 or 17 rem. i also rhought of putting it on a cz 22 mag chambered in 17hrm . so many decisions and so little brain power. bob

If you should decide to sell it I am most certainly interested. I own a 17 Ack Hornet and I believe the bolt face will fit. What is the dia. of the CCM head?

Is this a custom made brass? or what is the body diameter and parent cartridge? The 0.308 head dia has me interested. Which shell holder does it need to reload?

the 17ccm is based on a 22 ccm which is based on a russian pistol cartridge i belive it is called a 22 velerdog. the head is 308 the lingth is 1.16 and measures .247 at the sholder. it looks like a pregnant 22 mag with a rim. its one neat cartridge. the only reason i pulled the barrel was lack of brass ,at that there was none . now there i schroder out of la. the gun always shot .25-.30 5 shot groups at 100 yds. bob

Thanks. My Cartridges of the World lists the 22 VeloDog, though I think it was French. Thanks. I'm always looking for another case to work with. Right now I'm looking for some 5.7x28FN brass to work with. Stuff is hard to find, since loaded ammo is restricted and I'm basicly broke right now (LOL).
