I posted this on 'another' site, repeating here for you 17 shooters..... Couldn't wait any longer and loaded 5 rounds for the 17 Javelina, 20.6 gr. N-540 for about 3700 fps. The weather could not have been worse, gusting winds of 16-24 mph quartering, 35 degrees. I only loaded 5 rounds because I frankly did not expect this bullet to stabilize in my 10-twist (measured) Cooper VE. This bullet has a reported BC in the .280 range, and as you can see, it shoots! The fact that it stabilizes in a 10 twist is quite unexpected, but I'm also over 6000 feet, which helps. More testing on the way when I get some decent weather! I know Corbin will want to get his hands on some of these... Dan C

I believe it's surplus, or some weird Euro powder. As you may have guessed, it's close to H-322. Benchrest shooters used to use the stuff. I have never seen any for sale.......... Dan C

has any one had any problem with lapaua brass? i just recievred a hundred cases today ,while trying to neck turn them for my tight neck 22 br each one would rip half way down the neck. after the forth one i stopped(slow learner).
the brass seems to be extremly soft. the necks are so soft i could push a 22 mandrel in by hand and watch the neck expand as it went. also three cases telescoped as i tried to seat bullits in them.

Where did you get it? Call, maybe they will exchange it, most reputable BR places will do this. How much are you taking off in one cut? Mike

i got the brass from graf and son it came in a lapaua sealed box. i used the same marquart tool i used on my remington brass . i have a .247 neck on my br, after turning a loaded round measures .245. i did manage to get 20 cases turned by turning them as a 6 mm then necking them down to 22 . i have never had to do this with any other brass.

Hey, I got some 222 that had primer pockets so deep that I needed two primers to come flush with the case head. will sell cheap.
