NO go at station one. What are you going to gain? Sure you will get a little more velocity but the bullets do not stay together going super fast. Accuracy is the key not velocity. Corbin Shell

I see no different between the PPC or the benchrest as far as power i went through what ackley said and do not see where this round can not work with a heavy bullet. I might be wrong but no one that has one or used one has come up with any other test loads.remember moast of the people out there think the 17 Rem will not work let alone my VLR or the javelina or the mach IV moast think this is a so so fox gun when all of us here know better Just Ideas and looking for the better mouse trap Have a good weekend all Eat Moose 20,000 wolves can't be wrong

Well, in Wildcat Cartridges it lists the load of 38gr. of 4350 with a 25gr. bullet at 4444fps. Called the .17 Flintstone Eyebunger(gotta love that name), and as we would guess throat life would be short, but you can't go fast and not expect to pay a little extra. One thing for sure when you go to the range you won't see 25 more just like it. Sometimes I work on the 2 simple rules of rifles, 1. can I afford it and 2. do i want it, not always logical but, it is fun.

I think logical and wildcat will never fit in the same sentance that is what makes them fun I just look at all the improvements over the years in bullets and powders. I mean look at the 22 eargasplitten loudenbommer on that round i may have to look twice only because the powder and price of it to day well thanks and please if there is anybody out there who had one or has had one please feal free to get a hold of me at coyoteslayer@Hotmail.com have a good sunday all: Coyote Slayer Eat Moose 20,000 wolves can't be wrong

Coyote Slayer,
I'm running the .17 on the .225 winchester case and have had it over 5500 fps, but normally shoot at around 4600. I used a Shilen barrel and built the rifle in 1991, and Shilen bore scoped the barrel in 1999, and said it showed very little wear in the throat. I have run somewhere around 3500 rounds thru it.
I had Clymer cut the Reamers for me, and I named it the .17 Chuckbuster. I have had alot of fun with it over the years. I have killed plenty of Chucks, crows, deer, and Turkeys with it, and have had very few misses at over 300 yards. I conferred with P.O. Ackley back in the late '60's and early 70's and got alot of encouragement from him. It took me several years to decide to make the plunge and build it...Glad I did. If you want any info feel free to e mail me. Benny

Rarely do I go to that website. I went and viewed the posting on your recommendation. I tried to post a reply. Not sure it went through so I sent Saeed an email directly to post. It would seem that Todd Kindler was under the impression that I thought his bullets would not shoot well at 500 yards. I have never stated anything indicating a lack of accuracy. It would appear that Todd was trying to get a little dig in with his last comments. For the record: I am personally inviting Todd Kindler to come to Butner NC and have a .17 caiber match. $100 per person into the pot. Winner take all. 5 matches at 600 yards.
Do not sing it. Bring it!!!!
