Got a chance to buy a old Mini-MauserX. Would you go for it or would you go for the CZ instead? Its a .223 now and thought a .17 MK4 would be a nice barrel to install on it. Whats the going price for the Mini-Mauser rifle today? Any comments welcome. THANKS, Nailman...

nailman i just bought a mini mauser mark 10 in 223 about 6 mo ago for 275.00. i felt line i stole it fair and square. i rebareled it with a shelin ss 17 cal in 17 remington. it is a great varmint gun. we have built several guns on the mini mauser, 221 fireball,6x45,and a 17 rem. all fed well and shot real well. the mach 4 and 221 fb use the same case ,should be a good project.
the new mini mauser by charles daly action only retails for 289.00 barreled action retail 339.00 and superior grade complete gun retail 529.00. good luck.

If it went for $325 it would sell very quickly. At 400 it makes you think a bit. Actually getting a complete CZ 527 new for about 450 sounds like a better deal to me. But beauty is in the eye's of the beholder and seeing as it is a "classic" it could pull on my heart strings. In fact every Gun List I get I scan the Interarm section first or second to see if one pops up.
