Jim Firstly, let me just say, for purposes of clarification, my 17/222 is not formed from rimmed cases. It is purely a “standard” rimless 222. Having said that, the only source of 222 rimmed I know of is Bertram Brass. They are making good quality brass these days, though they wont be putting Lapua out of business any time soon (not that they are trying to). My experience with Bertram brass is limited, though I recently got 14 Bertram cases to trial loads for a long range competition rifle in a belted magnum and ran them on a Vern Juenke. 10 of the cases spun up at what I would call “match standard” and show some real promise. They are handling loads as hot as the RWS cases I have in the same belted mag chambering. I found the below at the “Old Western Scrounger” who handle Bertram in the US. 1176 222 RIMMED BRASS BERTRAM 20 $28.25 Fergus |
