if you ship via federal express be ware of hidden policies they use to deny your insurance claim. i recently sent a rifle via fedex the gunsmith recieved the gun but did not open it sence he was not going to work on it for a couple of weeks.
this is pretty typical behavior for gunsmiths. when he did open it he found the stock broken in two. when i talkend to him he told me about the hidden damage. within an hour i filed a claim with fedex. that was 5 weeks ago, today i recieved a notice that my claim was denied. the grounds for the denial was that i had not filed within 15 days of the gun being received. i was directed to their service manual. i imediatly went to the fedex office where i had shipped the gun. there was no service manuels anywhere on display or even a sign warning of the 15 day limit. when i ask an employee for the manuel she said she didn't think they had one. after several minutes searching somewhere in the back she came out with a service manueml # 2, not a word about a 15 day limit or even claims. after another extensive search she found a service manuel # 1. so somewhere back behind locked doors in a service manuel i had no acess to was the information.
i turned the matter over to the stste insurance commissioner for resolution.

ps i paid extra for the insurance on the gun.

use em if you want but not me.

Well, I guess you could say I am never settled with any rifle or cartridge, and I have gotten bitten with the .17 bug AND the wildcat bug REAL BAD!
I have been hearing some things about a tactical 17, does anyone have any info to share? Also heard some things about the Small Caliber news working with a 22br improved cartridge, this sounds alot like a 22 dasher to me, and have read lots of succes story's over at the GGVG board about it. Anyone have info to share on the new cartridge?
My last question is if any of you guys have pictures of the various .17 or .22 Wildcats, I read alot about them but it is really nice to see a comparison picture next to another cartrige. I have the wildcats of the world book, but I am looking for any info you all might have through personal experience.
I guess what Im saying is, Its raining cats and dogs here in central Ohio, I got off work early, am bored out of my mind, and should be doing more productive things. But of course,....Im not, because Im on this darned Internet thinking about how to turn my M700 .223 into a hot custom Wildcat rifle!

All help/comments/opinions are appreciated.

This is my first post and first day of discovery of this group. Im from the GGVG board and recognize a few of you. I purchased a 17AH from Dan C over a year ago n I think its great...My question is about waxing bullets instead of using moly or fastex. Ive heard that Woodchuck has it, but expensive. I would like to try some type to get away from the mess of moly...feedback needed, TIA...Mike in Fresno
