I just painted my dedicated calling rifle,a little sako vixen in 222.It looks terrible,I love it.I even painted the scope.This thing will kill some coyotes in the weeks ahead. gunnut

Yeah, I get ribbed about painting all my stuff, except for my Cooper. Just can't bring myself to do that, yet......... But.......will paint the Bullberry/TC combo, as soon as it gets here........ You got pics? Rich in VA

If you do things right, the littles 17 AH's will put a smile on an old man's face every once and a while!

the two 17AHs I have shot lately (one is still mine) would do that. 15 grain Berger MEF(non moly)shot this well. Also a fireforming load of 11.7/AA1680/20Vmax would too. Love the 17AH. alan in ga.

The rifle started out as a Ruger 77/22 Hornet, but it would not shoot as well as I would have liked. So I finial got around to putting a Shilen #2 24" SS barrel on it. I hve been tinkering around with an Extreme version of Hodgdons H4227 it almost fills the case up to the bottom of the shoulder and the stuff burns real clean. This load had 11.3 grains of H4227. I only shoot moly coated bullets through my 17's. Here is a pic of this rifle.

Chucker, I have a 22-K that lookes just like your rifle, am thinking about finding another 77VHZ and building a sub caliber rifle based on the hornet case.
