Steve wrote that he did not see any real value in the sub-calibers because of blah, blah, blah. Steve also wrote 18 years earlier that his 17 Mach IV was the greatest thing on earth for varmint hunting blah, blah, blah. I shoot 4 different 17's, and I also shoot the .222, .223, 22-250, and the 220 swift. I really enjoy harvesting fur with the 17's because it does not throw the fur in 3 zip codes. I frequent another small caliber site at www.saubier.com , and there are at least a dozen answers that you should read by small caliber shooters to the Steve Timm article in issue #40 of TVHA magazine. I liked the VHA magazine the most during the early years because it was packed full of good varmint hunting articles like April 1993 issue #6 which has three seperate articles on 17's along with a host of other great varmint hunting stories. I liked the content of issue #2,3,4,5,6, and 7, but over the years the VHA content has changed to where I bet I do not even read half the magazine. I really enjoy reading the VHA magazine and look forward to getting each next issue, but I wish you would try to redirect the content back to what it was in the early years.
