    Hi Joe,
I hope you get your new barrel in a timely manner and the project moves along to a successful conclusion. My brother and I just got back a couple of hours ago from a three day groundhog hunting trip in Ohio. The number of kills weren't as high as usually but the weather was great and we had a good time. Once again we had a few chances to hit a groundhog at over a thousand yards with our 6AI's and came as close as a couple of inches. I will be working hard over the next month to get my reloading and other things in order as I will be having a shoulder operation in about a month. I got whats called a SLAP tear and will be in a sling for about six weeks and then about four months of rehab. I know for the first couple of months I will be very limited in what I can do. I will probably spend a few weeks over at my mothers house till I can do things on my own. Although she is over 80 years old I know she will enjoy my company and nursing he boy back to health.

Just an update on the MGM 20AB.Sent the barrel back and they received it last friday.Instead of cutting the chamber end off 5/16,and reseting the lug and drilling the two extra holes for the scope base(told them to leave the dovetail cuts as they were on the bottom,as I have a hanger that I would drill and tap another hole for the forend screw),they will build a entire new barrel, minus the chamber, and send it to Mike Bellm in Oregob to do the chamber.I'm sending him brass ,and dummy rounds, along with my modified sizing die.He may need to hone the die,but if he chambers the body slightly smaller .0015 at the shoulder,he probably wont need to,as I had polished it beforehand.
Now the wait, although MGM said they would get it out in a week.Bellm?????

Haven't heard a word, from you lately. How was your trip out west, and how about the 20AB?I am having a time with mine. They never contacted me prior to shipping my barrel to say they couldn't provide the chamber length and neck size,I requested. After you mentioned, that your neck must be .231,I called them and they gave me a measurement of .228.I accepted that, bit the brass comes out .230,so must be .231.Did you have any trouble running the fired cases into the RCBS FL die?Even well lubed with Impearial sizing wax, they almost siezed up 1/4 way in.Had to go in and out carfully, turning each time, then taking a chance on a full stroke. The chamber reamer that MGM uses is not from Pacific tool.I told Kindler that he meeded to change the neck dimentions of his order with RCBS to .219-.220.In your case, regardless if you are experiencing difficulty sizing the body of the cases like I am,I would call RCBS and ask them to open the neck and,if need be, the body a couple thou.
