Hi Rick,
What kind of portable shooting bench is that that you use? I would love to buy one just like it, and can't figure out who makes them. Thanks

Rick--Well, you fellows convinced me to build a 20 VarTarg. I'm using the .204 Ruger barrel on my Savage Target Action and setting it back and chambered with a reamer that has a .234" neck and .010" of free-bore. Ramos work up some Lake City brass for me. They are ready to fire form. Lake City brass would be more work to form than the Lapua .221 Fireball brass so I ordered 300 of them.
I seated a 32 gr. V-Max in the neck of one of the 09 Lake City casings Ramos made for me where the neck walls averaged about 0.0130" thick and the loaded neck OD is 0.2301".
I took one of my virgin Lapua .221 Fireball casings and ran that up into my 20 VarTarg body die and the neck walls are an average of .01455" thick. I did not size the neck but it appears to be about the right diameter. I will wait with neck turning until I see how thick all of the necks are after I get them down to 20 VarTarg size. I'm pretty sure I'll have to turn them all.

Rick I loaded some 20VT made from 5.56 brass and shot 32 gr Zmax over 18.5 grains of H4198. They seemed like hot loads to me. What do you use to fireform, less powder? A few rounds with minor bolt stickiness upon extraction, other than that, no signs of overpressure.
