Walt Berger has passed

Gents,

It has been reported, over on the Benchrest board, that Walt has died at 92 years young.

I spoke with him many times over the years.

He was always a fine...generous guy.

R.I.P. with Eunice, Walt.

I called him about load data 20-25 years ago, and he was a great guy. The first thing he said is that I needed to speak up, because of hearing loss from shooting. I had to smile about that. R.I.P. Walt

Got to meet Walt and Eunice...

Both are very nice people, very kind.Glad they are together again.I really like how much Walt helped in the small caliber world too.I also remember if you wanted to purchase Berger bullets in the Denver area back in 1995 one guy at the gun shows had em,his name was BJ Eiland. I was very pleased BJ was a 17 shooter and he had a lot of the 17 caliber line right there at his table,my favorite for the Mach 1V was the 22 grain at the time. That first meeting sparked a friendship that still lasts to this day,so in a way Walt’s bullets are responsible for me having friends in the 17. I’m also happy to say the OP is a true friend as well whose love for the 17 may well have been helped along by Walt too.
Matt
