Do you guys have a powder trickler recommendation?
 

I'm thinking about giving a powder trickler a try and was wondering if there is one that is better than the others?

I used a fired 12 gauge shotshell for many years.

I use a small spoon to dribble small amounts of powder into the pan, for final weight

When I am doing small batches I use a 45-70 case with a spent primer, but once I upgraded from the RCBS powder dump to a Harrells I don't use the RCBS trickler anymore.

One thing to make sure is to raise your powder measure to eye height when you are sitting doing powder charges, to reduce strain and be as accurate as you can be, IMHO. I built a tower frame, the top is a 3/8" thick plate of aluminum with divits for both the redding adjustment screw and for the "feet" of the measure nearest the pan to sit in so it doesn't move around after it is balanced. I am prone to bump things, and this helps me from mid- session restarts.

I like the RCBS that I got years ago. It is aluminum and doesn't have any issues with static electricity, like some plastic ones.

This^^^^^^^^^^ Plus get one that is weighted so it stays in one place when you are using it. Redding makes a good one too.

I have the RCBS and the Redding. The only one I use is the Redding. Being weighted it stays in place and I can spin the rod with one finger without having to hold the base of the trickler to keep it from moving.

It makes it so simple and easy I don't know how I got along without it.

Used to use a plastic spoon
til I made a 1/2" copper tube capped about 4" long.
With a 3/16" hole in one cap. That cap slips off to
refill it.

Never use one except for the real small cases.
Lil Dandy drum's drop so close it's not needed
once things are set up.

I've turned a few "spare" drums with my own charge holes
for the .17 VR. I have the full set of drums plus these extra's.
And a couple undrilled for future needs.

Lucked into a real deal and got the full set of drums and spare
dispenser. That makes two complete setups, plus I have two
of the large sets: one with small drum and one with the large.
Whole lotta money if bought at new prices which I didn't. Got
one hell of a bargain buy from a guy wanting out of the game.

I have a couple and they both Work. I am pretty sure one is a Hornady and not sure on the other. They both drop a single grain of H4198 and both work well with CFE BLK.
