here is my handgun for this years season. it is a wichita 7mm ihsma (6.5 creedmoor necked up to 7mm and trimmed to length) both cases are based on the 300 savage with sharp shoulders and less body taper. bases and rings are burris and scope is a 2.5x8 force bdc. pistol comes with a canjar trigger.
still have both 6mm br's i used this year.

Is that a butterknife bolt action? Looks like a hoot!

sort of a butter knife, just loaded some 120 sierra spitzers with imr4064. hope to find out tomorrow if hornady is right 2700 fps. we know what a 80 gr 6mm at 2900 fps will do to a deer, what will the 120 do at 2700?
you should see the trigger, it looks like a large piece of spring wire and it goes off at about 1 pound, don't touch before your ready to launch..

Have been hunting with the same gun/cartridge for probably 20 years. Very accurate gun - under 1/2" regularly. I use the Sierra 130 gr. single shot pistol bullet (now discontinued) at 2550 fps. Has done a great job on deer, antelope and coyote.
I think you are really going to like it.
Enjoy!

does your pistol have the same 2 ounce trigger as mine? now that's scarry, i swear a strong breese will set it off.
can it be adjusted to a heavier weight?

here is a 3 shot group with the 120's and 4064, at first i thought i missed with the third shot until i looked thru the hole and could see all three shots on the cardboard behind the target.
love shooting tin, just have to be careful of all the razor blade on the back side.

i knew about the 130's just hadn't looked for any yet.

I have both the rear and center grip stocks. I use the center grip for hunting. I believe (from foggy memory) my center grip trigger is about 18 ozs.. My rear grip trigger is an 8 oz. Shilen.
Check and see what trigger you have, you may be able to swap springs and get a heavier trigger. For me, 2 ozs. is a little light for hunting.
If I am not mistaken, our guns take a Rem. 700 trigger in the rear grip configuration.

I had a 7 IHMSA Wichita at one time also. Left bolt/left port. Very accurate gun. This is what I am hunting with now. 6.5BR.

thinking of having the bolt fluted, just can't decide between straight, spiral and diamond.
