corbin dies, gas checks bullet jackets,

I got quite a variety of stuff that I inherited from my dad, and I need a little help identifying it and then figuring out where to sell it. I am a varmint shooter and reloader and have zero desire make/swag bullets. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

O.K.

One place to start is the Corbin web site. He does classfied ads reasonable and many are for goods purchased from him and now in estates... From there... well, ebay will not sell bullets or ammo but bullet jackets have been o.k and dies and presses and ... Then there is "cast bullets" .com. Castboolits.com I think. They have a section for "swagers." Any other gun site, you should look. I go to Saubier.com and follow the links.
--You should do well on the bullet jackets. Copper used to be alot less expensive than it is now and the price of jackets is several times what it used to be. You can compare on various sites. Corbin, Dave. Corbins.com, swage.com, etc. Dave has a brother Richard. They have parted. Richard has a site, rceco.com where he sells jackets and dies and ... A search for other sellers will give you guidance. O.K. to sell by weight. Eg. 6mm jackets, 3 lbs. Or you can count them it you don't mind being bored.
--The CH stuff is, well, CH has changed hands a number of times. CH4D.com is the current supplier I know of. Not sure they make the items you have any more. One time a half jacketed pistol bullet was luxury. Allegedly no leading. Now, ho hum. Full jacketed bullets all over. Your .45 jackets were for open/soft point bullets, not the full metal jackets of military required.
--I would put the Herter jackets on Ebay. There are Herter collectors that are NUTS. (I am close, it was largely good stuff cheap.) No telling what a bid might be.
--Dave Corbin has his book, sans pictures, on the web site and you can learn the process to ID the items you have. Basically you cut a piece of lead, or cast it, for the core. Then you squeeze the lead in a core form die to make it a very uniform piece which also dictates weight. Then you LUBRICATE a jacket outside and put it in the "core seat" die. Insert the lead and SQUEEZE them together. This forms the bullet body to the diameter of the die. Then you shove the body into the "point form" die to get the round nose of long pointy nose or ??? Depends on the die. The CH dies probably did round nose of Semi wadcutter or wadcutter. The corbin system would make the pointed rifled bullets.
--The LEE molds are in the catalogues and no big deal. Whatever you can get. Luck. HAPPY TRAILS.

If you were to get rid of all that in a great big box, shipped, what would you want for it? If nothing else, it would be a lot easier than piecing it out.

I'd guess that a lot of it would be of little or no use to me, but...

my goal was to see this stuff go to someone who would use it, my alternative is to throw it in the trash. I'll let you know what's left.
