Look what just showed up......

Found this on an auction site a few weeks ago. Didn't take but about 2 minutes for me to hit the "buy it now" button. For less than $650 all told shipped/transferred, I'm a happy camper. Right place, right time as the shop owner said he had just listed the rifle an hour prior to me buying it.

Came with a cheapo simmons pro hunter 6-18 scope. I immediately put on a sightron big sky 4-16x42mm with Target dot Reticle on it. Rifle is nearly new condition with perfect bore, perfect bluing and one small impression on the stock. I'd say an easy 95% condition. Came with one Original Kimber stamped 5 round flush magazine (feeds flawlessly). I only had an hour or so to shoot last night, shot around 100 rounds with no issues. Shoots CCI Mini Mag 36gr HP (my hunting ammo) into nickel sized groups at 50 yds. Not my most accurate rifle with that ammo, but minute of squirrel easy enough. I'm excited to get some more rounds down the tube. Heck, I think it still needs "broke in".

Good buy and a sweet little rifle. You will enjoy that one. Bill K :)

Austin, another sweet find there my friend! How da heck do you come across so many of these great finds, not to mention a killer price?

Congrats, you are building one sweet small caliber battery there! :)

Very nice looking little rifle, but I gotta say, I hate guys like you that always seem to luckout and hit the wood lottery!! I've got to be the most unlucky SOB in the world because even though I don't or haven't had many wood stocked rifles, of the ones that I have or had, none of them have been anything more than the basic boring grain walnut stock. Woe is me!

Thanks Bill. My youngest son turned 2 yesterday and I'd say I was as excited as he was to open "my present."

For years I've wanted a Kimber 22, dreams really do come true. You are most certainly correct, I'm going to really enjoy this little gem.

Thanks Rick!!

Thank You!

The wood lottery has certainly cost me a lot of time spent looking:eek:
I am to the point where I won't buy a wood stocked rifle "sight unseen."

I'm too particular to get a plywood planked stock, which many now adays are all too common on production rifles.
I have been fortunate to run across some beauties though, but it usually takes months of "looking." With no really good gun shops near me, most of my shopping is done online.

Heck, I requested that Eurooptic send me pics of a new Kimber 84 Longmaster Classic that I recently bought, just to be sure of what kind of grain I was getting. You spend $1100 on a rifle, it dang well better have a decent stick on it. Kimber stocks are funny that way, some are killer.....some are duds.

Very nice find. Looks like a M82 Classic to me. My M82C Stainless Classic loves RWS50, but doesn't get a steady diet of it, just CCI or Aguila SV. The best HV I have found is Fiocchi Biathlon for consistency and accuracy.

Awesome find!

When did Kimber make these rifles? I don't see any rimfires on their website.

Bayou City Boy 04-27-2019 09:01 PM

Good find, Austin. Kimber rim fires are great rifles that usually shoot extremely well when you find the ammo each one likes best.

Enjoy..............
