Ruger 77 Hornet

I'm looking to upgrade the trigger on my Ruger 77 hornet. The choices are, a Jard, a Rifle Bacix, or Timney.
Any comments or suggestions on any or all will be greatly appreciated. The rifle shoots well now that I installed the bolt shims.

I have a Jard, and it is a bear to adjust close to the claimed pill weight without creep. Not saying it is bad, but very touchy.

I put a timney in mine. Had to file a little to get the safety to work but it's much improved.

Decided on trying the Timney trigger. Will report once it's up and running.

Timney sear dropped in with new spring, no trimming necessary, and the replacement is a vast improvement. Very pleased with change.

I ordered a spring kit from Mcarbo. Cheap and made a bunch of difference.

@Moorepower:
What weight spring did you use and what pull weight were you able attain?

You must be talking about a regular full size ruger 77. My 77/22 Hornet has a voquswarten (however you spell it) sear. I don't know of any other trigger options that fit this model.

Flyrod,
The Volquarsen sear is no longer available. Timney makes a sear/spring replacement which I used. No fitting required and it is a vast improvement. The 77- 22 Hornet is not a full size 77. Don't think they ever made it in the full size gun.

Jard Weight Attained??

Has anyone been able to achieve safe, creep free, trigger weight near one pound with the one pound Jard spring?

I'd really like to try one since it's the only one I'm aware of that claims one pound pull weights.
