Several years ago I ask John Whidden and they had no interest in making one. Might ask again.

17 cal tipping die

Whidden makes one. I got mine a couple of years ago. I also have the 17 cal meplat trimmer.

Whidden does make a .17 Caliber tipping die.

I sent Wiley,at Whidden, Berger .17 25 grain Varmint bullets and .17 cal 25 target bullets.

I asked them to see if the their tipping dies could close the larger hollow point of the Varmint bullet to the size of the Target bullet.

Unfortunately, the hollow point could not be closed without without crushing
the tip. Seems the copper is too thin to take the stress.

Rats....

When John first brought them out I called and he wasn't making them at that time. Don't see it on their web site now. Gundog--that was the very reason I wanted one back then. Also the cheap 20 gr from Midway etc could use some help too.. At this stage I wouldn't be interested now. I've been a big fan of his custom 20 cal sizing dies.
