OT swaging question

I have seen photos and dimensions for factory made bullet jackets for rather tiny bullets that are very similar to 22 rim fire cases in overall dimensions.

What I wonder is if anyone has actually tried to manufacture there own rim fire cases?

Here is why not to try small scale 22lr production.

To do this yourself would cost you a fortune.

Another thing is you don't have a license to do it.

I could think of so many things I would rather do...

Like cauterizing my own nose hairs with a roofers soldering iron...

Drawing and forming the cases is the easy part. Making and installing the primer compound, without blowing yourself up, not so much. The learning curve doesn't leave much in the way of second chances.
Then there is that minor detail of making it work reliably, then, consistently.

Buy the stuff.

Well if they started making pre 1900 rim fire ammunition for military rifles...
