WTB: Rings Sako L 461
 

I thought I had an extra set and realize I sold them with last Sako I sold. If someone has a set of rings for a Sako L 461 please let me know. Thanks much Rick

What sort of rings are you after ? Optilocks, the older style Sako mounts or a modern mount like the Leupolds ?

This is an older late 50's early 60's 461 so I don't believe the newer style Leupold will work. I was going to call Leupold first of the week to find out. I'm not really sure? Thanks for bringing that up.

I think I have a set of old style Sako 1 inch rings
I believe they are low
I will look for them tomorrow when I get home if your interested

I have two Sako's, one L461 from 1973 and the other an S491 and both wear Leupold QR mounts. I find them great mounts because the S491 I run two scopes for it. A 36x42 Target scope for the range and a Bushnell 4.5-27x50 for rabbits at distance. Leupold say the QR mounts are good for + or - 1/4 inch. I have removed and replaced the scope during a match after every shot and the group was no larger than any others I shot during that match. Bit of a fan of Leupold mounts. Having said that, nothing wrong with Sako mounts either.
