preperation meets opertunity + sucess
well my turkey season ended the next morning after i got my tags. thought turkey season opened on the 15 but it opened on the 1st.
there is an advantage to archery deer hunting and being in the woods before daylight. which is quite a statement from me since i hate getting out of a warm bed to set in a cold blind. http://i1062.photobucket.com/albums/...psdguusbjw.jpg ignore the scrungy looking caracter, the turkeys are the one without the white beard. i almost took a shot at these turkeys with my bow 2 weeks ago but they never came any closer than 58 yards. |
Good job! If a turkey comes by while we are in the deer stand they are in trouble also.

Congrats on the trifecta Bob! I'm assuming you didn't use the Viper or Velociraptor for head shots on the turkeys?!

Good job Bob! I envy you MO guys , awesome turkey hunting down there, although we had a good hatch this year here in IA. I have more on my trail cams than previous years.

i would have but that is illegal in missouri, besides the 17 mach 2 would make less noise . shotgun and arrows were the order of the day.

Had 17 come by tonight. Betcha they disappear in two weeks when our fall season comes in. We get THREE days to hunt this area.
Nice shootin'. |
they give us a whole month in the fall and 4.5 months with a bow and arrow.
