Another inexpensive tool I find handy

If you bed rifles in epoxy you end up with some stuck to the release agent on the barrel or action from time to time. I tended to to scratch it with my thumb nail to get it off, sometimes by the time it came loose my thumb nail was pretty ragged. A friend had one of these he used for that purpose and it works extremely well. I cut most of the blade length off the smallest which is the only one I use for that purpose and sharpened it back up on a belt sander. A piece of 320 grit sand paper glued to a piece of scrap wood keeps it sharp.

things work much easier if you just bed a small area at a time.

IF it sticks, it's lots easier to break it loose too.

I usually use either 5 or 10 minute epoxy.

I’m referring to small smears and little spots. Not the bedding itself. When I clean up along the receiver with a swab a small amount of smear will end up here ant there. I would scratch it off with my thumbnail before I saw one of these being used.
