Anybody willing to order and on send a set of dies for me
 

Hi guys, I am trying to buy a set of 6mm TCU dies, .but nobody in Australia has them and Midway wont ship out here. Is anybody here willing to order the dies and send them on to me?

There have been changes in the U.S. export laws in the recent years. There are severe penalties with ITAR and Export Control procedures now. Most dealers won't sell outside of the U.S. anymore. Be careful.

AFAIK reloading dies were never part of it, and the ITAR restrictions have changed again, being relaxed quite a bit.

When I read the ITAR regulations it was clear by my interpretation of them they never covered reloading equipment except "automatic reloading equipment" so as long as the reloading equipment was manual "handloading equipment" it was excluded.
Ordinary dies, presses, scales etc did not require an export permit.

Now I seem to recall that these regulations changed recently and now most firearms related items that were covered under ITAR are now covered under Commerce dept.

Don't get me wrong brass and bullets did require an export permit under ITAR but "handloading equipment" did not.

Although there were some countries nothing could be exported to without a permit and if you applied you most likely wouldn't get one.

Most didn't want to try and interpret the laws so just put a blanket rule in place.

Back when oblama was screwing with things.
Friend Jack sent some brass to So. Africa. Never got there.
Then one day two or three Homeland Security guys showed up
at his house threatening him. He got the message:
"Don't Do It Again Jack!!"

Now with Trump changing many of those things back to the way
they should be allowed. It's had to keep up with.
Just because of Jack's visitor's I've stopped sending brass, bullets and
barrels over seas like i had been. Not worth it to fight such a battle.
No way I could afford such a fine.

Had a local guy get sentenced to several years but, he was shipping quite
a bunch of guns and gun parts I think to Asia, and/or the arabs maybe. that's
just asking for it. One varmint barrel every couple years shouldn't be anything to amount to much imo. BUT: I won't do that again.

Been a few years back but on one of the forums I visit, a guy wanted a "tactical style" shotgun stock. He was in Oz. Found the stock he wanted, took it apart and shipped it in two smaller packages. Made it easier to ship.
He got the first one with no issues but Customs got the second one and paid him a visit. Got his computer and he mentioned that they treated him like a terrorist.
I never heard from him again but learned a lesson. I DON'T ship anything to OZ, no matter what anybody says.

Sister married a Guy from Canada. They moved back and forth from Canada and toured all over the U.S.
Sister had a lady friend in Canada so she shipped her a silk blouse from the U.S. Customs got it and it was never seen again. Don't ship ANYTHING if you don't know the rules!!
