17 cal bullet makers?

Who is still making 17 cal bullets?

coyotespotter 01-11-2022 11:45 PM

Actually running a production line? Probably no major manufacturer, they're to busy with 9mm. Why make anything but the product that is the vast majority of your sales 80%(and prices/profits are UP) especially with raw materials, labor, transportation shortages from the current administration agendas.

I see a few boxes of Hornady 20gr. .17 at one of the local gun stores.

AFAIK, Berger may have just run some. They're listed on a few vendors websites. Hornady also.

Hornady and Berger is a bout your only options outside small boutique makers

Hi,
Over in UK we can buy 17 cal x 17 grain plastic tipped bullets (Believed what the put in 17 HMR ammo).
They cost £27 ($36) per 500.
No problem for me to send to America…but, the shipping can work out expensive.
Ken.
