may be some help
I'm not shooting 55 grain, but have competed with the 50 grain Berger. I can reach 3500 fps with them, but the accuracy came in around 3400 fps. The rifle has a ten twist Krieger on it.

What am I missing with your post about 18.0 grains of H4895? Just plugging that into Quickload gives me a velocity of ~2500 fps with pressure at just 16,000 psi. You'd also only be burning just over...

Depends on what time of year. Right now when pups are coming up, most shots are 375 or less. Later in the year...after the towns have been shot over a few times, it can be a mixed bag.
