I thought the difference on a 223 go - no go set was .003. I could easily measure the difference with my shoulder bump measuring tool. I actually think I did this a few weeks back just for the heck...

I don't know what's available in NZ but your basic GI, 12 twist , 20" pencil bbl is as light as you can get and will do what you want out to 300 to 300 yds. 55gr bullet is fine.
