You guys were right on the money:)! The extractor is the culprit. As BCB said the shape of the AI case causes the case neck to smack the receiver much harder than the parent...

Seriously... I rarely shoot at a p-dog at more than 300 with the FB. If I feel the need to shoot at a p-dog, or anything else, at 500 yards I reach for the 22-250;)

Thanks for the info on Chan. Yea, what a shame. The 25grn v-max is very accurate but not nearly as tough as Chan's bullets. If I can't wait for Chan I will go with Kindler. Never used them...
