Here is a good recipe for ground hogs, 25gr. V-Max over 26.5gr of AA-2700 ignited with 450cci mag.primer. About 4060 fps. with Lilja barrel 700 rem. Bell&Carlson stock, Gold ring 36 power scope 1/8...

I use a .20 Tac. with 39gr SBK over 24.9 gr of 10x and 71/2 Rem primer in Lapua brass. Works well for me, start at about 24gr & work up. Have fun!

I have had good luck with 25-26.5 of AA2700 with both 25gr V-Max & Bergers.Both will shoot 1/4" @ 100 yds. DRT on big N. Indiana groundhogs.

Rick covered EVERYTHING, the 20 VT kills groundhogs here in N.Indiana just like does with sage rats in Oregon. DRT. Easy to load, not picky about powders. I have a 20 Tac also, life is good!! ...

Todd Kindler's Sensational Seventeens calls for a Max of 11.8 gr of N-120 with a 20 gr. 3605 fps. 25gr. Woodchuck Den, 11.0 for 3258 fps. with N-120. Be careful & have a good day. Dave
