Interesting, boys. I don' t have the .22 Nosler, but the 62gr. HP Varmegeddon is one of the most accurate bullets in my 26", 22-250 - something over 3,600fps & it's supposed to be a 14" twist.

I ran those 33gr.(I thought) Speer Bee bullets to 3,800fps in my Ruger #1 and they shot poorly, overt an inch but did not explode on the way to the target.

Chambering is one thing, but if a fired case easily admits a bullet as in drops in, then your rifle's chamber is longer than normal. If the case will not easily admit a fresh bullet, the cases are...

Salt water cures all ills. Well, almost all. It is an old Hawaiian saying, apparently, but use of Epsom Salts goes WAY back here in NA, especially with such an easily soak-able appendage.

You can always take a rimmed case and make it rimless or even rebated like this one. Same case, altered somewhat. Took 15 seconds or less per case, on the lousy little lathe I have, once I ground the...

No reason why it wouldn't work the same as any other.

I neck the .22 Hornet case down with a .17 Seater die which sizes the neck to .20cal. I then use my .17Hornet necking die to size the case...

I spray moly coat the 51gr. bullets from my NOE mould, for the Condor Air Rifle.

I have noted zero negatives from doing this, and non-coated standard pellets still shoot identically.

I hope to get $600.00 for my SPS .22-250 (26") at the gun show this spring - with Hawke (cheap) scope, maybe dies and brass.
It's shooting around 1/2" - I thought it should do better.

Of course, .001" is all a guy really needs, unless his brass thickens.

As for using bullseye in the .17AH for forming, I think it was 3.5gr.
Foxhunter will quite likely know the exact amount. I think there might have been a pinch of kapok or dacron on the powder,...

Back in 1880's, at the Sandy Hook tests, the issue .45/70 load with 500gr. bullet
had a maximum range of just over 3,500 yards.
Modern stuff, goes even further.
