James Calhoon has a bunch of good data on Primers on one of the articles on his website, but I don't it has the CCI 41.

You could try using the micrometer approach you said but use a stereo microscope or a loupe/magnifying glass to view the enlarged image while measuring.

You could also section/grind through the fired primer and measure the thickness of the cup itself. Also, there is no info on the brisance of the two primers.
