While the 270W and the 280REM are near identical cousins, the advantage typically goes to the 280 due to the wider range of .284 (7MM) bullet weights available to choose from vs the more limited selection of .277 bullets currently available. I have both in my cabinet, but the 280 got the greater amount of usage over time. No disrespect to the venerable 270W, JMHO from experience Regards, Charlie
