My ex-wife shot a whole lot of 7TCU ammo doing IHMSA silhouette through the 80's, almost exclusively with W-748 powder and various Hornady bullets, mostly 139 grainers and 162 grainers for those pesky rams. It didn't take a lot of work to come up with some incredibly accurate loads. All of our cases were formed from .223 brass, and the guns (XP-100 and TC Contender) were not fussy as to what kind of brass was used.

Good choice for a short range deer rifle, IMO.
