i used h4198 first and then i used rel7. i like rel7 over h4198 because it was just a little bit more accurate. i've used rel7 in the 30-40 krag, 444 marlin and the 45-70 and a few other cartridges that i forgot. when i had the 222 rem it was a 50gr hornady sp and a max load of h322. i shot the heck out of that savage m340 (222 rem). i bought it used, so i don't know the round count, but i shot around 6000-7000 rounds thru her. the front of barrel chamber was fried and the rifling was non existent or close to it. i should have rebarreled her, but i was young and dumb at the time. although i used the 223/5.56, it just wasn't that accurate. i've used the 223 in the remmy and the savage and powders and bullets galore, but could not find the accuracy that it needed.
