I've had my 20-222 for awhile now and it is just a little sweetheart of a cartridge.

I use Lapua 222 brass and neck it down in one step using Redding 222 type S bushing die and a Redding 222 Comp seater die. If I recall I'm using a .230 bushing but I'd have to look to be certain on that.

As you know the 20-222 is a straight neck down cartridge and is super simple to make with zero added steps. Mine is built on a blueprinted SA Rem700 and wears a Hart 11tw barrel. I've been shooting Berger 40 grainers using H322 lit by 205M's. My load is somewhat moderate and I could squeeze a little more velocity out of it but those 40gr Berger's are launching at 3650 and it stacks them in to one big hole so I've left it alone.

JGS reamer .235 NK and .0300 FB

There's a lot of "improved" variants of the 20-222 out there too. Kevin Weaver does a 20-222 improved with a Ackley 40° shoulder and it's a sexy looking little case but I didn't want yet another rifle I have to fireform for so I took the easy route and went straight 20-222.

As everyone knows, just about anything off of the 222 case feeds and extracts slick as snot through any small bolt face action which is a nice plus.
Lapua 222 brass is pretty easily obtained and you have to really abuse it hard before it loses primer pockets so 2-300 pieces will last a very longggg time. There's just not much to not like about the 20-222.
