Default Glad to be back in Wyoming

Today's doe with 6MM Dasher Encore rifle.

I have 70 pound's of venison on my back and the temp is about 5 above Zero.

Today I finished my planned three doe hunt for the fall of 2019. The White Tail Does are all most in pest status. The hay, corn and alfalfa fields invite deer to come and stay. They gather in these locations and there are too many deer in too small an area leading to disease and crop damage for land owner. When I asked how many tags I could buy the Game and Fish office told me at I could buy all I wanted but no more than 20 tags per sale. I bought three. I shot two does about three weeks ago using my new Sheridan, WY marked Weatherby 30-06. Today I used a TC Encore with a 6MM Dasher 24" barrel, firing 85 grain Barnes TSX bullets over 32.0 grains of RL15 powder lit by CCI 450 primers. It was an impressive DRT 100 yard shot. I don't think I have ever seen a deer go down as hard and fast as this one. These deer are very fat, tender and wonderful meat.
