Congrats on a fine buck and with a handgun no less
!!! I love handgun hunting.
I had a Ruger Redhawk .44 Magnum put together a number of years back with a 6 1/2 inch Pac-Nor barrel (action all trued, trigger worked over etc etc). The smith who use to work with Hamilton Bowen is a master, he also put a Bowen flat backed rear sight on it and he milled a thick front post for old fart eyeballs. That worked for a number of years but as those years add up that front post seems to be growing fuzz on it, dangdest thing
. At any rate I think my days of conventional hand gun sights are numbered
. So as not to hijack the thread, maybe we can use the pm feature and talk about non-conventional handgun sights
. Also like to hear about the canning process?
Again, that's a dandy buck congrats! Looks like great whitetail bucks is the order of the day where you guys are hunting.
