Hey guys. I'd like to sell a .204 Ruger 'kit' for a Sako L-461. This is for the barrel and extras, not the rifle itself.
Included is:
• .204 Ruger lightweight 21" stainless barrel, 6-groove 12" twist.
• like-new RCBS 3-die set (FL, necker, seater)
• all of my brass (50-75 pieces)
• ~200 39gr Sierra Blitzkings
• ~50 40gr Nosler Ballistic Tips
• a few loose projectiles
The barrel was installed by Charlie Robertson at
Score-High Gunsmithing in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Look around, he has a good reputation for quality. I can't say who actually made the barrel. He no longer has the reamer used to cut the chamber, so I have no details on the reamer spec.
I am not the original owner and I have not wrung out the accuracy. 40gr Ballsitic Tips were sub-MOA at approx. 3720fps with some BLC-2. I have never hotrod-ed it. I have a .220 Swift for driving 40s over 4000fps. I got it "good enough," shot paper and some pop cans with it. There have been about a couple dozen shots at varmints too.
A different cartridge has caught my interest, and I've no loyalty towards the .204 Ruger.
I'm asking $300 for the lot shipped.
Updates will come regarding specifics (pictures/bbl twist, actual projectile/brass quantities).
