I have not owned a Model 25, but there are a couple of issues to consider.
Most Hornet barrels have a slow twist rate, and if one went to a 222 or 223 cartridge, it would seem to get the most out of it would have a 12 twist or better...Plus to abandon a good shooting 22 Hornet for another factory offering seems a loss to me...You can purchase 223s at less than the work to convert the Hornet and save the Hornet.
Seems that would give you the best of both worlds.
I think I would miss the Hornet to gain a 222/223 out of it.
Just some thoughts on the subject.
Bill
