Default Ebay purchases

I have never flea-bayed, there are some interesting used shooting related items listed. Payment method , credit card processing by PayPal. This seems better(more secure) than card number to a unknown vendor. Would I be gtg with that form of payment. I normally use USPS money orders.

You are absolutely right in your assumptions. For buying off of Ebay, PayPal is the way to go. PayPal works for a lot of other vendors also.

FWIW...

Default Ebay

I have well over 1000 transactions on EvilBay. While I do not like the anti-gun stance {once could buy and sell brass and bullets} they will reimburse you for problem sellers. I have received 5 full refunds for non delivery.

Heck if you get a PayPal credit card you will get cash kickbacks

This came to me 2nd hand so don’t know if it’s correct.
Was told that PayPal offer no protection when you buy gun related items.

Don't know about that Ken,.
But, paypal used to be anti guns.

I've never dealt with them because of that so I don't know how they
are now.

Default PayPal Ebay

PayPal was the financing sub of Ebay until about 4 years ago. Ebay is clearly anti-gun. No brass, bullets, certain magazines etc.

I would think if it is listed according to their rules and you have a problem with a seller, they would deal with it as if were any other item

I have bought a few barrels off eBay and had one hiccup and paypal/eBay took care of it. The seller is not on there anymore so he may had tried to pull the same thing with others. As far as using the paypal as payment, they have worked a few things out for me -- I still will not buy anything from china -- other than the barrel all other crooked deals came from there... I do use evelbay for a lot of used RCBS dies, so far not a hiccup there. And at times I bid on ones I don't need but they are odd enough ducks I think they need a home until someone close needs them.

Besides hanging around here I have learnt -- buy one piece and the rest will be built - just as soon as you can explain the expense to the wife as a needed way to keep me out of trouble LOL. You know one of those moments when you can say, well dear its better for me to be out in the pasture shooting that thing than down to the hole-o-suds bar flirting with the bartender don't ya think? I win nearly everytime anymore... I just hope she never goes in the pub and finds out the bartender is older and uglier than last weeks oatmeal...
