Was the conversion done on a rimfire action? It appears to be a takedown version with that slot head bolt on the left side. I like the lines and checkering on the grip, very nice.

That is a beautiful gun. I have seen a bunch of of Martinis and that is by far the best I have ever laid my eyes on. A thing of beauty.

A guy named Lew Bates did the stock work up here in Canada. The gun was $200 gun a dutch guy had and he beat the hell out of it. It has color case hardened butt plate and grip cap. I was debating colour case hardening everything but decided I am going to get a gopher scene engraved on the side of it. I would show more pics but I can't get photobucket to cooperate.

Beautiful Wood . Have you considered a Unertl Scope ? or are you set on something Modern ? A mid or smaller sized Objective Unertl or Fecker or Lyman would look pretty neat on that Rifle .
