Default Martini is back

I finally got my Martini in 22k hornet back in my hands. Got to get it scoped and get the firing pin bushed. Just trying to figure out what kind of scope and rings to put on it.

Default action?

Was the conversion done on a rimfire action? It appears to be a takedown version with that slot head bolt on the left side. I like the lines and checkering on the grip, very nice.

That is a beautiful gun. I have seen a bunch of of Martinis and that is by far the best I have ever laid my eyes on. A thing of beauty.

A guy named Lew Bates did the stock work up here in Canada. The gun was $200 gun a dutch guy had and he beat the hell out of it. It has color case hardened butt plate and grip cap. I was debating colour case hardening everything but decided I am going to get a gopher scene engraved on the side of it. I would show more pics but I can't get photobucket to cooperate.

Beautiful Wood . Have you considered a Unertl Scope ? or are you set on something Modern ? A mid or smaller sized Objective Unertl or Fecker or Lyman would look pretty neat on that Rifle .
