Default BIB Bullets

A few weeks ago, I placed an order with Randy Robinett, (mister BIB himself) for some 204-40gr BT's. They arrived nicely before schedule, and I must say that the quality is SUPERB! Not only do they look stellar, after weighing several, the variance is less than 1/4 grain (at least that's what it looks like on my beam powder scale), and the base to ogive measurement on the same bullets was in almost all less than .001. The exception to that was a couple that went .0015. Pretty darn good in my book, and look forward to trying them out whenever the bbl and action get to Kevin Weaver (likely still a couple of months out). If those bullet specs have anything to do with how well the new rig will shoot, it should be very satisfying!

I was so pleased I just wanted to pass my findings along to the forum.

Randy's bullets are,and always have been absolutely first class, not to mention the man himself. I have the better part of a pickup truck load of IBS Score trophies that attest to the consistent quality of Randy's bullets. There are few, if any, bullet makers with Randy's knowledge of the craft. My friend and barrel man, Humble Henry Rivers, shoots those bullets in his 20 cal varmint rifles and gets a lot of .2's and sub .2 groups with them. Henry has another pickup load of IBS Score trophies won shooting BIB bullets. I would be surprised if you aren't thrilled with those bullets.

Default Bib bullets

I just got back from prairie dogging in SD using the 40gr 20 cal bullets in my 20 PPC rifle. I have to say they are fabulous. Thanks Randy

In four 20 Practicals, I have used just about every factory .20 caliber bullet and Randy's are light years in accuracy ahead of all of them.

Hog patrol, are any of your 20p AR's? I haven't tried them in mine, because of the mag length restriction.

On my Whitley AR upper, there is approximately .030 of mag clearance.

Max COAL on an AR mag is 2.260 + or -
COAL on 20P with BIB 40s is 2.230 + or - with a .010 jump to the lands.

If you have a long freebore and are trying to touch the lands you may have an issue.
