scope needed - indoor
I'm looking for a scope that I can place on a CZ452 .22 long rifle.
However it's for shooting inside the back of my shop. I've shot many times before in the back warehouse for doing quick tests on various loads. The scopes I've been using are not clear at 35' But for quick testing of loads- I didn't need super clarity. Is there a scope out on the market that is? I would presume there is. Just have not found anything. I'd like it to have a magnification around x10ish. variable is an option. Do I need it indoors with a high magnification - no but when it goes outside, I'd like to keep the same scope on it indoor and outdoor. thoughts?

I would go look at one made for a paintball gun. Larry

Leupold makes two excellent choices that will focus down to 10 meters that they refer to as their EFR (extended focus range) line. The two options are a 3x9 compact or 6.5 - 20 with target turrets. While I don't have any first hand experience with them, Nikon has recently come out with their own EFR line and is more economically priced compared to Leupold. Happy shopping and let us know what you decide on.

I just got a Nikon ProStaff 2-7x for my new big gun.
Shooting the other day in my shop at ten feet I turned it down to 2 and it focused clear on the bullet holes in the paper at TEN FEET! Seems like I paid about $130 delivered from Optics Planet. They had a choice of matte silver or black, I got the black one. I also just got three 6.5x20 Simmons for the varmint rifles. They focus down to 30 feet. I checked all of them out when I first got them looking at a brick post on my front gate. The grains in the brick and joints are very clear. Those were $120 each delivered from Midway, out of one of their last fliers. Good luck

I recently bought two of the Leupold 3-9x33 EFR. After trying the first one I realized that I needed a second for another rifle. I have found that they have no trouble going down to 6 yards and there is still some adjustment left and they are optically excellent...

Take a look at the...
... Weaver V-16. Have one on both of my 17HMRs. Also look at Bushnell's Trophy line. Have a 4-12X on my 22 cal air rifle. Focuses really close.

I have a few air gun scopes that are quite excellent.
Air gun scope run from cheap, to fairly expensive - up to the $500.00 to $1,000.00 range for the larger and higher powered versions, with huge side focus (paralax) wheels that can actually be used for or as range finders on the more expensive models. The 3-9X MD Bug Buster actually focuses down to 3 yards or meters. Leapers and Hawke are the better brands, I think.

For shooting 30 feet you guys are killing a mouse with a 12 gauge. Now if your shop is papered in money I think the options here are perfect. Larry

They all have been great options to study out.
The $500-1000 is a bit steep for shooting in the back of the warehouse. I will head to sportsmans and cabelas in the next week or so and see what I can place my hands on (or eye on) Thanks for the great recommendations.
