Default cleaning rod

Options for a cleaning rod ,22 rimfire Anschutz 1416 .Does this need a smaller diameter rod ? Seemed to have read somewhere the Anschutz have tighter ID diameter. Thanks.

No IVYS please, to much money.

If you do find you need a smaller rod, use a .20 Cal Pro Shot rod.

You can't beat Denny Phillips rods.
He's a member on here too.
Must apologize as I can't think of what he calls them
right now. Someone will chime in though.

33 miles up the road is a place called Brownells, just a nice ride today. The weather was mild and lots of shine.
Bought set of Burris rimfire rings with inserts,a nice setup. Used them for years on centerfire so thought i should try them on my new Anschutz. Proshot rods are special order ,so it seems.Rod guide with solvent port would not fit the action, seemed to be a few thousands over size. Will return it next trip.
The place was very busy. Victoria's Secret for men.

Thanks Troy, knew someone would come up
with Ivy Rods. Wonder where Denny came up'
with that name??

Denny??? How about it?

RR: Don't know if you could talk him into making one or not.
Kenny Sicero used to make those cleaning inserts to order.

I find it easier to use a 20 cal rod with 20 cal slotted jag with 22RF patches to clean my 22's.
